Background

MarketConnect is the auto industry’s first and most effective proprietary online sales solution, allowing dealerships to post to all major online marketplaces simultaneously and utilize live web feeds to manage up-to-date sales and inventory. Areteworks was selected among six highly distinguished Design companies to innovate, design and develop AiM’s next-generation inventory and auction software.

AN OPTIMIZED SCALABLE WORKFLOW

Challenge

AiM's legacy system suffered from many redundant workflows, characterized by a labyrinth of screens that made frequently used features challenging to access. Recognizing the urgency to address these inefficiencies, Areteworks' designers embarked on a mission to thoroughly understand the intricacies of end-users' workflows. This endeavor necessitated a deep dive into users' personas and user journeys, allowing us to create an optimized, usable, and scalable workflow solution tailored to diverse user needs.

To achieve this ambitious goal within tight timelines, Areteworks' research and design team strategically employed Design Thinking and a User-Centered design approach. By integrating these methodologies seamlessly into our process, we were able to extract valuable insights, empathize with users, and iteratively refine our solutions. This holistic approach not only accelerated the project's progress but also ensured that the resulting workflow redesign was not just functional but genuinely transformative, enhancing user experience and productivity across the board.

USER-FRIENDLY & ENGAGING UX

Solution

Areteworks performed extensive behavioral research in multiple U.S. cities. A wide variety of end-users were interviewed to map out their different workflows and concerns. During the process we uncovered critical nuggets (features and tasks) that would optimize and help end-users reach their goals. Vigorous usability tests were conducted on multiple high-fidelity concepts across mobile and web platforms, leading to numerous design iterations. The completed design resulted in a very user-friendly, engaging and well-integrated user experience.
